This Single-Celled Bat House features a single chamber that holds 50 to 100 bats. This house design is similar to designs from Bat Conservation International.  The interior surface and landing platform is made of grooved wood or covered with mesh screening to make it easy for bats to cling when roosting and landing. The single chamber measures 3/4". The 3/8" ventilation gap in the front of the house serves to maintain proper temperature and helps with air circulation. A  bat design is burnt into the front of the house. The roof is slanted forward for better rain run-off. Joints are sealed with caulk for better weather resistance. This bat house is made of weather-resistant  cedar on a 1/2" exterior grade plywood back and is assembled with Prime Guard exterior screws. Hand made in the USA.
